This gives you an idea of central Laos. There is a pretty good highway network, and the conditions were good, with some holes, occasional sand, and other minor dangers. When there is an accident, the Laotian police paint white outlines of the vehicle(s) and/or people involved in the incident on the road, kind of Dick Tracy style. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures of these low-tech driver's education aides.
