This is where we stayed for the length of our short visit. It was located literally across the street from the Royal Palace downtown. While it was comfortable, and we were warned not to walk outside at night, it felt somehow odd being privileged to enjoy a dependable (cold) water supply and a guarded entrance while so many people were suffering outside. The stories we heard from other travelers were only surpassed in their illicit misery by those from long-time residents, many of them of questionable character.
